Behind the agency INSTINKTE stands not a “yes-man”. Not a man of hierarchy, but a man of conviction. A doer. An instinctive person. Born and raised in Heidelberg, the founder Tim Sean-Lee Mut-Lu studied Modern Dance in the United States, before he devoted himself to a less unprofitable art: Communication Sciences.

Following his mantra “When I do something, I do it with much blood, sweat and tears”, the creative lateral thinker looks back at an eventful career in various fields such as Brand Communication, Advertising Psychology, Public Relations, Brand Marketing, Product Management, Brand Conception, Pop Up Events, Trade Show Organization, as well as Sales. Nine areas of activity, one man capable of acting.

“I was swimming on a timing-wave“

The acquaintance of Pino Panzinis – founder of the Sasch Boutiques, LaBamba/Chewan Jeans and the first German Hip Hop-Cult oriented stores named Union Square- turned out to be a great milestone for Tim. Alongside his mentor he gathered experience in purchasing, selling, as well as design of the in-house brands Illmatic Design and Red Rum. The encounters of 90s icons such as Tony Touch enriched the life of the mid twenty year old until his millennium year, during which time the subject hip hop became less intense.

After a year of working as a Junior Buyer Sports at the Sport Arena the Heidelberger obtained a profound insight into the field of Public Relations at the renowned HAKA-business Engelhorn & Sturm. Moreover, he developed his wealth of experience in the sections Purchase/Sales as head of section and established contacts to well-known industry-insiders.

As “buyer with an eye for the USP”, Renzo Rosso the founder of Diesel Jeans, took notice of the all-round talent. The result was a position as product marketing manager Europe at Diesel after which, almost cyclically, he became International Brand Manager at Carhatt as well as Head of Brand Marketing at Fuga, which were all steps of gaining experience from a company’s side. Nevertheless, the course was set to an even more successful path.

His previously acquired knowledge as well as new knowledge Tim combined as a co-founder of the HtoH Agency in Frankfurt. Being the captain, and always: being a lateral thinker.

About 5 years he managed the business which especially focused on the Scandinavian-fashion world. But eventually he followed his instincts and moved towards the direction of special communication. The result of this action was the Agency Instinkte – Brand Communication agency. Since the establishment of Instinkte, the visionary created perfect public images for the respective clients based on instinctive decisions. Once again, the thirst of knowledge mixed with knowledge of the past calls for the search of the certain indefinable something of the future.
